Then Welcome Song—At the moment of arrival, the soul meets the world. This gentle piece honors the grounding of spirit into form, attuning itself to the steady pulse of the Earth. Then Spring Dance—Childhood unfolds in wonder, curiosity, and delight. Joyful and playful, this piece celebrates the innocence and freedom of early life while showcasing the bright character of the major scale. Next, Walking in the Woods—Adolescence is a time of exploration, mystery, and discovery. Recorded in the Mixolydian mode, this piece balances uncertainty with confidence, capturing the adventure of finding one's way. And then, Gratitude—Played on a Stephen DeRuby EZ Anasazi flute, this reflective piece honors a stage of life in which we begin to recognize the gifts hidden within both triumph and challenge. Here, gratitude becomes a way of being. And next is Blessed Are—An inspired piece based on the words Blessed are the pure in heart, the pure in heart, the pure in heart.
